YEP, I DID!

Oh HELLOOOOOOOO! Happy Saturday my friends!

As you can clearly see, ahem...I've decided to switch it up a bit here on mah blog. I've changed my template and a few colors.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm usually a very "matchy-matchy" person. Now, don't get me wrong, I'll "color outside the lines" every once in a while, but in general, "matchy" is what I like. To me its harmonious. :o) Soooooooo, in looking at my Etsy shop and my blog, I decided "what tha heck, I'm gonna change it and see how I like it" aaaaand there you go.

Also with this new layout, my Etsy mini is bigger...Yay!... and I have more room to play with colors. As much as I liked my old layout, it was pretty limited, size wise. Now, I feel there's more room over all to do what I want! YES! lol

Soo, I don't have much planned today.

I'm about to watch this movie. Its my favorite Saturday morning movie and lets just say it: Val Kilmer is HOT in this one ladies... "scha-wing"!!

After that, I'm planning to be at my work table, just to play...I have a few projects in the works, so I may try and finish some of those up. But there's no pressure right now, and thats a really good feeling! LOL!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day! Here's to NO PRESSURE! Whoot! :o)
Love & Peace is where its at!!

~Happy Friday!~

LOL! Run away!

Happy Friday everyone!
Got any big plans for the weekend? I don't really...but usually thats when my creative juices start flowin. Ya know? -- when theres no pressure! lol

Weeeeelll, I've been tagged. Yup. I'm a little worried..just a little...I don't like to talk about myself and I'm not keen on sharing "secrets" with strangers. STRANGER DANGER lol

However...I was tagged by a wonderful woman and I appreciate her so much, so this is for you dear Sharon of Mana Moon Studios. MWHahah!! Heres the scoop: I'm supposed to share six secrets about myself and then "tag" five others {which unfortunately probably won't happen, seeing as how I don't have five people to tag because they've already been tagged. LOL} Anyway here we go:
Six Secrets About Me

1. I grew up in a conservative Christian home and both of my parents are ministers for The Salvation Army. Most folks think of the thrift stores or the bell ringers at Christmas, but its much more than that. There are Salvation Army churches all over the world and even a college where folks can train to be ministers. It was an interesting lifestyle to say the least, but I don't regret one minute of my childhood, even though I was very sheltered.

2. I almost became a mortician. As my husband can give witness to, I have an unusually strong stomach and a strange and demented fascination with the macabre. There are many choices to make in life and the choice I made led me away from that desire instead of towards it. I have no regrets though...just a tiny twinge of longing to do that sort of work. I believe it takes a certain type of person to be able to handle that kind of thing, and I KNOW I could do it. Dr. G? Ya need any help? LOL

3. I have a true passion for a certain type of music. My favorites include: Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Helen Ward, Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters, Jo Stafford, Danny Kaye, Patty Paige, and a young Wayne Newton. Older Wayne Newton is sorta creepy to me LOL, but when he was 16 yrs old DAY-UM, that boy could sing! Of course there are many others. Too many to name. But most of the time, one of their CDs is playing in my car. I rarely listen to the radio anymore. All that being said, its not the only music I listen to. Right now in my car, I have Queen playing. I also love Scottish folk music, bluegrass, jazz and classic rock. There are just too many genres to list. Just know that I adore music and wouldn't be able to survive without it.

4. I don't want children. Don't judge me. LOL My thoughts on this subject are such that I really shouldn't post them here...but I will say that the world is WAY over populated....Children are a HUGE responsibility. Being a mother is a 100% selfless full time job and in my opinion the hardest job in the world. Unfortunately, there are many women out there just poppin 'em out, who quite frankly, have NO business being a mother. But it happens. Don't get me wrong, I love kids. I love my nephews more than I can say. Kids are hilarious!! But, I love my dogs. They don't sass or talk back! LOL If my mind ever changes, I'll adopt. There are many children out there who need a good loving home and I know I could provide that. But as of right now, I'm just enjoying my dogs and my husband and our life together.

5. I met my husband on a blind date. No kidding. I never thought I'd go on a blind date. My parents met on a blind date too, and that story is hilarious, but I never thought it would or could happen to me. I was in a verbally abusive relationship and he had just broken up with someone 3 months prior, so both of us were in a position to say YES. My friend from college set us up...and knew my hubby because her hubby worked with him. It was a spur of the moment decision that changed our lives. On a side note...I knew beforehand what he looked like having seen a picture, but he had NO CLUE what I looked like. It was fun! I was so nervous, I had to have a drink to loosen up! LOL We met in May, got engaged in November and were married a year after that. Been together 8 years now. He's my knight in shining armor! :o)

6. I have the biggest soft spot for animals....of all kinds. To me, they're the epitome of innocence. There is no evil in nature. A tiger isn't evil when he chases down a gazelle. He needs to eat, to feed his family. Its all a part of the circle of life. Every time...every single time I see an animal on the side of the road, theres a little pang in my heart. WE have done this to them through suburban sprawl. Their homes and natural habitats have been destroyed because of us and for this I am genuinely sad for the little possum who couldn't quite make it across the street.

WOW WOW WOW. This took much longer than I had anticipated. And I apologize for the length. But here it is. All in black and white. Now you know more about me. Ruh Roh!
Now I need to think of someone I could tag who hasn't been already. I'll get back to ya on that one. :o)

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Love and Peace,
~Angie~

INSIGHT OF THE DAY

Happy Thursday everyone! Today here in Snellville {where everybody's somebody; it says so on the sign} it is just downright GORGEOUS! A cold front came thru last night. I woke up this morning and it was 52 degrees and its only supposed to get up to 74 today. Ahhhhhhhh, I just LOVE fall. :o) I got a new candle yesterday called Autumn Spice. OMG. It smells amazing; just like autumn should smell. Glorious!!! Alrighty, enough of my ramblings, here we go:

TODAY'S INSIGHT:

"Focus more on your desire than on your doubt, and the dream will take care of itself. You may be surprised at how easily this happens. Your doubts are not as powerful as your desires, unless you make them so."
Marcia Wieder
Speaker and Author

WOW. This really hit home for me. Although I try not to show it, I tend to be very insecure about certain things, so doubt is a constant companion for me. That last sentence really clinched it for me though...heh heh...turns out I've been giving doubt WAY too much power. Dang it.
Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time and great effort to change your way of thinking when its been pounded into your head all your life. Believe me on that point. I'm going to try--for my own sanity to *remember* this insight. Heh...I think I'll watch "The Secret" when I get home. It always makes me feel better. LOL

Have a great day everyone!!!

Love & Peace,
Ang

May The Shwartz Be With You

LOL! What?!??!!?

Anyone seen Spaceballs? Lord Dark Helmet? Anyone? Its a silly cheesy Saturday morning "veg out" movie. LOL (I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that balance is everything with this guy) "you're a little top heavy" DOH!

So, y'all know that we're having a gas crisis here in Georgia, right?

This morning I was driving in and looked over at a gas station and saw a huge gas tanker truck getting ready to fill the pumps. So what do I do? I roll down my window and holler "Whooooo Hooooooo" at this nice man who wasn't expecting a cat call at 5:45 a.m. Poor guy. I saw him look up, like he might have heard something, then turn around and look towards traffic. Of course, I immediately stare forward as if I didn't know WHAT that noise was. ???? Of course, I got so tickled at myself...I'm laughing, listening to Fat Bottom Girls --- oh yeah --- and yelling out the window like a redneck. WHAT???? Crazy..I know. Why was I so giddy at 5:45 am? I'm going to go with a large cup of coffee as my final answer. LOL Of course by the time I get to work, make some more coffee, I've crashed and am now sleepy... *sigh* But hey...nothing like entertaining yourself in traffic. I try to make the best of it. LOL

Ok, one more thing...I give y'all the 411 and hopefully double my chances of winning, so here's the scoop:

My sweet, funny friend Sharon (SHOUT OUT!!) of Manamoon Studios is nearing her 100th sale in her graphic design store on Etsy. As of right now..she only has 5 sales to go. Whoo! Go Sharon! Work it girlfriend!!

She as also decided to have a giveaway in celebration of this momentous occasion. So Sweet!! Go now...run, scamper, trot, prance, whatever it is you do....to her blog to enter for a chance to win one of her AMAZING bracelets (you can see those on her blog too). This woman is SO unbelievably talented... jewelry and graphic design....a renaissance woman, if you will. Me luv her looooooong time. She's sweet as pie too :o)

Thank you Sharon! You rock my world sister. ♥

OK, thats it for me. I hope you all have a wondermous day.
