Uh...You've Got Mail!

LOL!!
<-- Ahahaaaa! Now theres you a "mail slot" BAHAAAA!

Gooooooood Morning peeps! Its Tuesday and its going to be a lovely day here in Snellville.

Speaking of mail...I received in the mail yesterday a box. A box filled with necklaces. My necklaces. Here's the story: Before I started selling on Etsy, some very dear friends of mine decided to open a shop in Highlands, NC and asked me to bring some of my jewels so they could display them and try and sell them for me. I was SO stinkin excited! I mean, if you know anything about Highlands, you know its hoity-toity and drippin with $$. Oh yeah, its expensive up there, doesn't matter what shop you go into. Also, its very touristy (is that a word?). I thought, "this is gonna be AWESOME!" Weeelll, it didn't quite turn out the way I thought. They sold a few necklaces for me - THANKS guys!!

Well, when I opened my shop on Etsy, the proprietess asked me if I wanted all my jewelry back. They weren't selling very well - mainly because of the location of the shop...maybe? I'm not sure, but anyway, I said, "yeah--mail 'em back to me!" Nooooo problem. :o) So, thats what I got in the mail yesterday. I opened the box and was just shocked. There were so many necklaces in that box that I'd forgotten I'd made. WHAT?!?! I know. I mean, its been a while since I sent them the jewels. But I completely forgot about some of the designs, which in turn made me SO excited!! My goal for the weekend is to re-string some of them, lengthen some of them, and maybe post a few. They're not really "season appropriate", meaning they're more spring and summer colors --- but no matter. I'm going to do it anyway! Fun fun fun!!! :o)
Keep and eye out for some interesting designs!!

Have a wonderful day my friends!
Love and peace,
Ang

YAY more goodies in Angie's shop!!! I have done the same thing (but not with a shop) where I put some cards aside and then forget about them...but when I find them it's like Christmas with all these new goodies! In fact, I found a couple of things this morning I had missplaced in my stuido...WOOHOO!!!

I do plan on having a wonderful day and I hope yours is wonderful, too :-)
Hugs,
Laura

Ally! Thanks for stopping by!! :o)

Laura, I ♥ you. Awww. LOL More goodies in my shop. I struggle with that. I know there are many people with many different tastes, but I have a hard time listing new stuff when "old" stuff hasn't gotten many views or sold or anything. Bugs me. Oh well. I guess its the nature of the beast. I just need to focus on creating, huh? LOL

Sorry to hear that they were not selling so well, and I'm SURE it's due to location because your work is HOT! But, now you can recreate them :)

Oh, and love the new look of your blog!

Rocki

Thanks Rocki! HUGS!!!
A lesser known secret? The shop they opened was a tanning/nail salon. My guess is that folks weren't looking for jewelry when they came in to bake! LOL Its okay tho...they helped me a great deal and I'm thankful they even offered.
♥ ya!

Oh I LOVE when that happens! It's such a kick to see what I used to create verses what I make now. Styles change, materials, but it's a blast to reinvent something old that I once made. Just need the time now... ;-) Have a blast my friend, can't wait to see the "new" goodies!

Thanks Sharon! Ya know the funny thing? I looked at some of those necklaces and thought "OMG...why shoog WHY did I even give them this necklace? My work has changed SO much since I made some of those... So I'm thankful to have them back so I can "tweak" them! LOL

YES!! That's exactly how it is for me. I look at the "materials" and think "oh goodie!"... the designs I try to ignore. ;-)

I know what you mean, I recently received some things back that had been on consignment and it was like Christmas opening the package! I missed all my creations and promptly added a few to my Etsy shop!
