~::~My Visit To Oz~::~

Oh my day was just wonderful! :o) It was long, but I didn't mind. I don't get down to the theatre very often. Usually when I've gone, its at night, we have to drive, find a place to park, and then walk a couple blocks to get there. Well, I've discovered theres a much better way to travel to the theatre!! :o)

I was unaware of certain things that were to transpire --- let me 'splain: A friend invited me and I agreed to go. She didn't elaborate and I didn't inquire. I just figured it'd be like usual (like above). I had no clue... I went with her, her mom and her sister aaaaaand....about 30 other women. I definitely didn't know about the 30 other women. LOL We all loaded up on a huge, GINORMOUS church bus. Yup. The 30 plus women were a church group. And OMG, you guys....I was by FAR the youngest person on the bus. HAHAAA I'm serious! Most of the women were retired or almost...and they were all decked out; After all, we were going to the theatre LOL!!!

So imagine it... a oversized church bus holding 35-40 ladies and gents (oh yeah, there were a few hubbys on the bus as well) driving in downtown Atlanta on small laned, winding roads. Our bus driver was a complete magician with that huge thing! I was grinning the entire way! Everyone sharing pictures and talking about their grandkids, catching up with friends and gossiping. It was so sweet and funny to watch :o)

Another thing I was unaware of was the lunch stop. Oh yeah, that was SO fun! We stopped that big 'ol bus at a tea room called Mary Mac's. What a quaint little place! We already had a room reserved, oh la la, and munched on the best food - southern cookin! We all chatted and ate, ate and chatted. I'm glad we stopped for lunch - I hadn't eaten and was thinking I'd just get a snack at the concession stand. Southern cookin = much better!!

A couple of blocks away, we pull up the The Fox Theatre. What a magical place! (If you get a chance, you should go look at the pictures of this theatre. People get married there!) As we pull up, the bus driver is blocking two lanes of traffic while all the blue hairs emerge...There were people everywhere. I couldn't believe it! On a Thursday afternoon! But they say...every showing of this musical is jam packed full! Anyway, we all get inside safely and get to our seats, which were actually pretty good. Sweet! We actually got there about 30 minutes early. And then....SHOWTIME

:♥: AMAZING :♥: FLAWLESS :♥: SPECTACULAR :♥:

What a blast! Here's a summary for those who don't know this wonderful story:

"Long before Dorothy flew in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. Elphaba, born with green skin, is smart, strong-willed and misunderstood. Meanwhile, her college roommate Glinda is beautiful, ambitious and loved by all. However, this Oz is not so pleasant. The Wizard's secret police are everywhere harassing Oz's citizens - especially the animals (which have been threatened with exile). Elphaba, green and misunderstood, is determined to protect the Animals -- even it means fighting against the imposing Wizard, and risking her one chance at romance. In the end, out of guilt and sorrow, she turns into the now infamous "wicked" witch"

Let me just say, its a whole new perspective on the "wicked" witch. I found myself rooting for her; feeling her pain, empathizing with her plight. It was fabulously performed by an amazing cast, lead by two understudies that were just unbelievable!! And they were understudies!! Crazy talented! I highly recommend this play. If you ever get a chance to see it, DO!So, thats about it - a glorious day! I'm so glad I was able to go. Thank you Jan for inviting me! I had the BEST time :o) ♥

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

I'd Like To Thank The Academy...

Within the last month, I've been the recipient of two beautiful blog awards.

First was the Luna Award given to me by Sharon of Mana Moon Studios - an unbelievable honor, especially coming from Sharon. :o)
Several days later, I received yet another award from Sharon of Mana Mooon Studios. Another great honor. I appreciate these awards more than I can say, Sharon. To be recognized for my blog is just crazy to me, mainly because, ya know...I'm just doing my thing!! LOL I'm so grateful Sharon! Truly!!

Now...with this award, the rules are for me to list 6 things that make me happy. :o) This shouldn't be hard because I appreciate the little things in life. Some will be touching (aw!), and some will just be silly. As my Mom always said, it doesn't take much to make me happy. Soooo without further ado, here we go:

1. My parents. I've lived away from my them for many years now. Every single time I'm with them, it puts me in a good mood. I'd like to think its the whole "accepting me for who and what I've become" thing. There's absolutely no judgment. No matter what I've done, no matter how much weight I've gained, etc. They still love me regardless. People are so fickle now a days. Moods change constantly, you have your good days and you have your bad. But my Mom always looks at me like, "oh my sweet baby girl". Its the best feeling! I couldn't wait to get out when I lived at home. Now I can't wait to go back. Ain't life funny?

2. Mac & Oliver - my doggies. Its a wonderful feeling to be welcomed home after a hard day to barks, talking, wags, kisses. It doesn't matter what day --- they're always happy to see me. There's something to be said for unconditional love. ♥

3. Despite yesterdays post, my work table. If I'm in the right frame of mind, I can sit over there all day long. I mean, I usually don't get up except to use the bathroom. LOL

4. Music. I'd be lost without it. Honestly. Its such an important part of my life. I'm partial to the old stuff, like from the 30's and 40's, but I do love ALL types. All genres have their good artists. You just gotta find what sits right with you. Songwriters are such amazing folks! The way their words can touch your heart - wow. Such talent!!

5. Driving. Yeah, I know - call me crazy - I don't mind! LOL I don't take trips like I used to because of gas prices lately...but oh how I love a good road trip! When the hubby and I go on a driving trip, I usually volunteer to drive. Here's why: Once we were driving home after a party weekend and I glanced over and his eyes were shut. And he was driving!! LOL I was like, "ooooooooook, honey...time for me to take the wheel." Scared me to death! Hello?!!!? Eyes closed, doing 75 mph??? Umm...Hi, Crazy, nice to meet you. Pull it over NOW! LOL

6. Last, but certainly not least, my hubby. Yeah, he makes me happy. :o) ♥ He also makes me insane, but we'll let that go for now. LOL He's a good man with a kind heart. He loves to help people, doesn't know a stranger and makes everyone laugh. A joke teller extraordinarire that will always put a smile on your face.

Geez! How long is this post??? LOL Wrappin it up for today. One more big THANK YOU to Sharon for these lovely blog awards. I'm supposed to send this to 6 others. I don't who though...hmm. I'll think about it and let ya know. K? LOL

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Why Oh Why??

I've been in a "jewelry funk" lately. And although I've been trying to figure it out, I don't have an explanation...{sorry cute little kid lol}.

You know I love to be at my work table...but I haven't been over there in a couple of weeks now. I've been so preoccupied with life in general, I've forgotten that I need to take time out to sit down and be creative. Plus, Etsy has been soooooooooo sloooooooooow this month. I mean nothin...zero...zilch has been happening over there. ~CRAZY~
I did have a sale Sunday (heck yeah!) - a repeat customer bought two more pairs of earrings. Thank you Robin :o) And ya know...I felt the tiny spark - a tiny flicker of creativity - aaaaand its gone again. *sigh*

I'm sure we all go through slumps. Life happens, ya know? Me, being the boss last week - having so many other things to think about and worry about - its taken its toll and kept me from something that I truly love to do. So there you have it. And I really wonder sometimes how many people visit my site and think, "man...she doesn't have anything new" and move on to the next shop. That makes me feel horrible!! A potential sale, down the tube. Ugh.

Perhaps I'll get it all figured out. I mean, I'm sure I will...but there are, once again, many things on my mind this week. And this weekend, I have to be at my SIL's new house to help her arrange furniture and decorate. Its a busy week and a busy weekend for me. Maybe being away from my work table will help. Here's hoping!!

Have a great day my friends!! :o)

WAKE UP!!!!

Gooooooooooood Monday morning everyone! I trust everyone had a nice weekend!?! Laura? I expect a full report of the birthday weekend activities. Ok, not a full report. I don't want to know what you and Paul did behind closed doors. LOL Reminds me of a song...
{{♫And when we get behiiiiiiind closed doors - then she lets her haaaaaaair hang down...♫}} OY!

Well, today its gonna be cold and windy here. I mean cold! Like right now, it is SO windy, that the tree outside my window is at a 90 degree angle. I kid you not. Brrrrrr! Once again, I sit at my desk and I've got on a thick sweater, another sweater covering my legs and two thick scarves around my neck. Oh yeah, I look like Nanook of the North. And then, I see some freak of nature walking around with shorts on. SHORTS???!?! Its like 47 degrees with the wind blowing like mad and you've got on shorts??!? *Sigh* Different strokes for different folks, I guess. LOL

This Thursday, I'm taking off work! THATS RIGHT!! Whoot! :o) A close friend and I are gonig to see "Wicked" at the Fox Theatre here in Atlanta. Anyone out there seen "Wicked"? I'm so excited!! Even more excited to have a day off work! YES!

Alrighty, thats all I've got. Must get to work.
I'll talk to you peeps later!
Have a wonderful day :o)

♫♫ HAPPY ♥ BIRTHDAY ♥ TO ♥ YA ♫♫

Laura, Laura, Laura...

You are an amazing woman. I'm so glad we've found a friendship that I KNOW will last a lifetime. Having a friendship "online" is a different experience for me, but you've made it so worthwhile. You are silly, corny, funny and down to earth. You have a magnetic personality to which everyone is drawn. You are quite possibly the strongest, fiercest, most charismatic woman I've ever known. I am PROUD to call you my friend. ♥

I got your back like a sweater! LOL

I ♥ ya!! Have a WONDERFUL day my dear, sweet funny friend :o)
A million hugs,

Its Fridizzle - Fer Rizzle

Oh yeah...this is AWEsome! LOL

Happy Friday everyone! Its so rainy and cold here, but I'm not complaining, just stating a fact. :o) I love LOVE it...it means "fireplace time" for me! Heck Yeah Baby!! And it is supposed to be rainy all day today and some tomorrow. Perfect "curl up on the couch" weather.

So, my week as the "boss lady" is coming to an end. Unfortunately, yesterday my SIL/Boss informed me that she just may take off some days next week. Yep, you guessed it...me = boss lady next week too. *Sigh*

It actually hasn't been that bad this week. I hope I didn't bore you all with my whining. Being plucked from my comfort zone of NOT being in charge is, to say the least, a little daunting. However, I made it through and it was all fine. Every little bump this week all turned out just fine. Seems like I was worried for nothing. Now I just have to gear myself up for next week.

Side note: tomorrow's post will be a special one. You know who you are dude. Be prepared. LOL

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, as well as a happy and dry weekend!
Love & Peace Y'all!!

Paralympians never cease to amaze me. I always think of the saying, "That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger." It just seems to fit when I read about these incredible athletes. And I thought, after reading today's insight, what better way to convey how important it is to go after your dreams.

So, here's to ALL of you who have gone after your dreams or are chasing them right now. May you continue to inspire us.

MUST...HAVE...COFFEE...

LOL!!

Happy Wednesday everyone. My week as "boss lady" is going just OK. I tell ya what...this job is not for me. I mean, I'm handling it, but I would never want to take over. I can barely get my regular work done because of all the fires I have to put out daily. Iz tired!

I wanted to post this picture simply because I think I've had more coffee this week than I've ever had before in my life! I guess whatever gets the job done, eh?

Have a wonderful day everyone!
See ya tomorrow :o)

I've never done a Featured Seller before. But too many of my colleagues and friends have big dogs and some have horses, and so I thought...why not!!?? :o)

FEATURED ETSY SELLER:

I came across this store and immediately fell in love. Please allow me to introduce Desi and Zip - the beautiful and handsome models :o)
Desi ♥ and Zip ♥

Claudia - the proprietress of Cozy Horse - obviously takes great pride in her work. Here's a blurb from her Shop: "All of our products are hand made and sewn on industrial sewing machines. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, thus producing some of the best made products on the market today! If you are looking for a collar or coat for your dog and don't see exactly what you'd like, please send us an email. We have lots of different colors, options and styles that you can choose from. Custom orders are always welcomed!"

Here's just some of what Cozy Horse has to offer:

Horse Blankets, Dog Collars; Dog Toys; Dog Coats in S, M, L, XL, Dog Raincoats, and Fleece Coats and Snoods (as seen above on Desi and Zip) ♥

As many of you know, my friend works at a "Doggie Day Care". She told me the other day that a couple of Great Danes that come to play don't have proper coats and I immediately thought of Cozy Horse. Later, I also thought of Bridget of "Heart of A Cowgirl" and her beautiful horses! I have to admit...one day I came across Desi's picture after searching for dog stuff on Etsy. Her face completely stole my heart, so I wrote Claudia just to tell her that! I know...I'm so random! LOL But she was so friendly and obviously proud of her poochies. All that modeling is tough work! LOL She also told me that both of the precious pups were adopted...Desi, from the CO Doberman Rescue and Zip from the NM Doberman Rescue. Again...that stole my heart. And now, I stop by almost everyday just to look at their sweet faces. It always makes me happy!

Please stop by Cozy Horse and check out her amazing items!! The cold weather is here and the holidays are coming! Whoo hooo!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

HERE WE GO...

Weeeell, this should be an interesting week. My boss is out of the office for most of the week - she's moving into a new house - and guess what that means? Yep, I'm in charge! Mwhahaaa HAahahaaaa *cough* *cough* ahem..

I've had to do this once before. Same boss - had cancer and was out for the better part of a month and I was in charge. Ugh. I mean, yes, I did it for her. She needed me to "step up" and I did. But it was not my cup o' tea. Waaaaaaaaaaay too much pressure. I don't handle pressure well; thats why I tend to avoid it at all costs. LOL She on the other hand, thrives on it. She's great under pressure. And this job is nothing but pressure. Eeek!!

Depending on what happens during the day and what fires I need to put out, my postings may be a little sparse. Wish me luck peeps, I feel I'm gonna need it.
Have a great day and a great week!

Sometimes You Need A Little Help...

Happy Saturday everyone!

As much as I like to do things myself, I've learned its OK to ask for help! Its OK to put yourself out there, swallow your pride and realize you might need a little advice. I know there are lots of folks who believe they can do it all -- maybe they can -- and I say "Kudos" to them.

Personally, I feel the need to solve my problems on my own. After all, they are MY problems. {{"you got yourself into this pickle, get yourself out"}} I feel there are plenty of resources out there to help and guide me. The resources nowadays are practically endless. The problem that inevitably arises with that thought process is the void of human interaction. Believe it or not, there's most likely someone out there who has "been there before". And if they're willing to share an experience they've had, I tend to be all ears.

I'm not much on sharing my shortcomings. Not many want to admit they can't do it. But I've found some of the most beautiful, warm and caring friends by putting aside my doubts and being open to learning from their wisdom. A beautiful Danish Proverb: "He who is afraid of asking is ashamed of learning"

So this is a shout out and a huge THANK YOU to all my true friends. You're experiences in life have taught me to appreciate my own. I learn from them and they make me stronger.

Have a great day everyone!

♥~*HAPPY ANNIVERSARY*~♥

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

Thirty-Nine years of wedded bliss. How in the heck!??! LOL

The story of how they met is one of my favorites. My dad tells it best, but I'm gonna try it today. :o)

A college buddy of his set them up on a blind date. My dad arrived at her house to pick her up and her sister Pam answered the door. My dad of course was a little taken aback - his buddy told him this girl was a looker - and well, my Aunt Pam was...not the looker he was expecting! LOL Then....he saw her. She was coming down the stairs in a pretty soft yellow sundress and he said it was love at first sight. ♥ Awww! That was July and they were married in October. Whoa! I always tell him, "Wow, Dad, you were a fast mover." And he responds, "well, I thought it was the next logical step." (Geeeez! Men) LOL

The story of the proposal cracks me up as well, and of course...we tease him about that too! He said something like, "Uh...How 'bout lets get married" LOL I'm like "Dad, your so romantic, goodness." Of course he grins and chuckles about it now, but my Mom says (her words dripping with sarcasm), "yeah, I was completely swept off my feet. What a proposal."

I honestly don't know how they've done it. I've been married for only 8 years and well, the world is much different now than it was back then.

So Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!
I hope you have a wonderful day ~ Love you guys ♥ !!

Happy Boss's Day !

I have a nice boss. I do. But she also happens to be my SIL. It makes it very difficult to separate personal from business.

If you have a chance to work for family...run away as fast as you can. It will only lead to heartache! LOL

But to all you folks out there who ARE the boss...I wish you a wonderful day! :o)

OH Yeah, You're Hilarious

Ding Dang it!!! Its happening AGAIN. Every year around this time, my body seems to go into hibernation mode. Uh...excuse me - Do I look like a bear? No! Do I hibernate? No! Well...ahem, NO! Then why for the love of Pete does my body want to hold onto the extra lbs? Damn scale.

Why do I even have a scale? Why do I even go near it? Every time I have a drs appt., they weigh me. Weight Nazis! I don't want a scale. I don't want to be constantly reminded, "Oooooh Angieeee...mwhahaaa!! You've been eating way to much yummy goodness! Shame on you! Come on over here and lets take a look, shall we? Mwahaha!"

Its an EVIL scale. And really, it better hush it up because I'm bigger (shut up!) than it is and I can throw reeeally far.
Have a great day everyone. I'm off to nibble on my rice cake.

Love & Peace Y'all!

INSIGHT OF THE DAY

Nothing in life is so hard that you can't make it easier by the way you take it."
Ellen Glasgow
1874-1945, Novelist

Good Monday morning everyone :o) I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I'm happy to say that my day got better, yesterday. My motivation kicked in around 6:00 pm; a little late to do some of what needed to be done, but better late than never, I'd say! lol

Today's insight is a few weeks old, but I thought it appropriate for a "Monday".
I wish everyone a great day, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

DE-MOTIVATION

{For Laura - LOL}

Hello Hi everyone!

I couldn't for the life of me decide what to post on this morning. I finally decided to come clean and post on my lack of motivation today. There. The truth is out. AHAH It feels good to say it! Does it happen to you, I wonder??

Yesterday I was motivated. Got lots of stuff done with my jewelry/projects/house/dogs, etc. Today? I'm just not feeling it. What the heck happened? Where did my motivation go? Is it lost? Is it hiding? And what the HECK am I to do about it?? How do I maintain that desire to STAY motivated?

Motivation and I have a love/hate relationship. I enjoy being motivated...most of the time. But when its lost, hiding, whatever...I seem to shut down. Back away. And then the inevitable sets in - a day of laziness. Don't get me wrong...sometimes taking a break from everything is a good way to get a new perspective on things. Take a step back. Put on your "thinking cap". Decide on the next best course of action.

But on the weekends, I usually WANT to be motivated. I mean, during the work week (because of my job/boss) I generally get home and am mentally exhausted. And I usually view the weekends as a time of renewal. Do things that have been neglected during the week; do things that make me feel better about being so detached during the week.

Today...or should I say at the present moment, I am just not feeling it. I have no motivation right now, and am feeling a tad guilty about it - that in itself is hard for me to admit. Soooo, all this rambling is leading me to this one simple question, that I will throw out into blogland in hopes that I'm not alone in my feelings:

How do YOU stay motivated?

I shall be anxiously awaiting your answers.
Love & peace y'all,

Ang

♫ ITS SATURDAY - TIME TO JAM!! ♫

Happy Saturday to everyone!!

This picture ~cracked~ me up when I saw it. Boy! Some folks sure have a lot of time on their hands!! LOL

Lets see...what am I gonna do today? Well, I've already fed my boys. They usually get "special" food on the weekends. Bless their little hearts, they LOVE wet food. I don't give it to them but once a week, but when that time comes, they KNOW it! All I have to do is take the can opener out of the drawer and they go nuts, and it warms the 'ol cockles to see them so excited. :o)

Next on the agenda is the Triple Threat Project. Coming along nicely, if I do say so myself! You will all know in good time - MWHAHAHAAAA ;o)

I do have plans to work with the necklaces I received back from my friends. That is gonna be fun, fun, fun!!

All in all, I'm just gonna take my time and have fun! I need fun after the week I've had. LOL

Have a wonderful day my friends. Enjoy your families, your friends, your weekend projects; whatever it is that you're gonna do today, also enjoy your freedom to do it.

Love & Peace Y'all!!

~~♥ HAPPY FRIDAY ♥~~

ITS FRIDAY!! Was it just me or did this week fly by? Wow. I love it when that happens!!! Woot!

I worked on the Triple Threat Project again last night. Ahhh..I love this project so much!! This weekend I'm hoping to work on it some more. Do some more research - although the info that I need is hard to attain, so I'm trying hard to be creative and use what I've found thus far.

I do have some plans for some new jewels and baubles. Yay!! Like I said earlier this week, I've got quite a few necklaces to play with. Its gonna be such fun!! I don't know how many I will actually finish/photograph/post, but I will work hard on it. I have nothing else planned for the weekend, so I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished. :o)

Sooooo...cheers to you all and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! The weatherman has promised gorgeous weather, but then we ALL know how reliable weathermen can be. LOL I think I'll stick with Gary:

Uh...You've Got Mail!

LOL!!
<-- Ahahaaaa! Now theres you a "mail slot" BAHAAAA!

Gooooooood Morning peeps! Its Tuesday and its going to be a lovely day here in Snellville.

Speaking of mail...I received in the mail yesterday a box. A box filled with necklaces. My necklaces. Here's the story: Before I started selling on Etsy, some very dear friends of mine decided to open a shop in Highlands, NC and asked me to bring some of my jewels so they could display them and try and sell them for me. I was SO stinkin excited! I mean, if you know anything about Highlands, you know its hoity-toity and drippin with $$. Oh yeah, its expensive up there, doesn't matter what shop you go into. Also, its very touristy (is that a word?). I thought, "this is gonna be AWESOME!" Weeelll, it didn't quite turn out the way I thought. They sold a few necklaces for me - THANKS guys!!

Well, when I opened my shop on Etsy, the proprietess asked me if I wanted all my jewelry back. They weren't selling very well - mainly because of the location of the shop...maybe? I'm not sure, but anyway, I said, "yeah--mail 'em back to me!" Nooooo problem. :o) So, thats what I got in the mail yesterday. I opened the box and was just shocked. There were so many necklaces in that box that I'd forgotten I'd made. WHAT?!?! I know. I mean, its been a while since I sent them the jewels. But I completely forgot about some of the designs, which in turn made me SO excited!! My goal for the weekend is to re-string some of them, lengthen some of them, and maybe post a few. They're not really "season appropriate", meaning they're more spring and summer colors --- but no matter. I'm going to do it anyway! Fun fun fun!!! :o)
Keep and eye out for some interesting designs!!

Have a wonderful day my friends!

How Did That Happen?

Where did the weekend go? Time really does fly when you're having fun, I guess. LOL

Good Monday to everyone. I trust you all had a wonderful weekend even though...here we are again on Monday. Party.

Now, I'm sorry to complain about Mondays so much...every Monday I spew the same stuff about how tired I am and I need coffee and toothpicks to hold my eyelids open...
I'm not asking for sympathy necessarily.

Lets just get it out there shall we? I don't like my job; I'm THANKFUL for my job, but I do not like it at all. But hey...where is it written you must like your job? LOL I am very grateful for my job. I know jobs are hard to come by nowadays - depending on where you live - so I'm thankful. Yep.

Its been over an hour since I started this post...I kept writing about my boss and reasons I hate Mondays. I decided to take all that out. This blog isn't the place for it. :o)

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!!!
Much love to all,
Ang

MWHA AA HAA *cough*cough* Ahem...

*Clears throat* We all age differently....don't we? LOL!!! Happy Sunday everyone! Yeah...I'm a little too chipper already. My boys woke me up insanely early this morning ---- after I decided to stay up way too late..uh...early. yeah. Needless to say I needed some STRONG coffee this morning!

My Saturday was, for lack of a better word, perfect. WHOOT! Even more exciting for me, I decided to start a project that will, from this point forward, only be known and referred to as "The Triple Threat Project". heck yeah...♥ I love a good project. The thrill of the hunt. The desire for it to be perfect. Doing the research. An outpouring of love. I am putting my heart into this project. I want that made perfectly clear. Its not my intention to be sassy; I just want you to understand the significance.

Without divulging too much...a few facts about the TTP:

(1) This task is very important and very special to me. I have done these projects before, but each one is even more rewarding than the last.
(2) Its not jewelry; doesn't have anything to do with jewelry. Nope. :o)
(3) I can not/will not divulge a single drop of information that might give anything away. The details are meant to be a secret.
(4) It is a gift - literally and metaphorically.

OK. I'm just puttin all that out there, because over the weeks, I'll probably be referring to it and wanted y'all to know what I was referring to. This ends todays lesson. BA!! :o)

Sooooo, my Sunday...what am I gonna do? Weeeeell, I'll be doing laundry..ick.. and normal household cleaning/straightening, etc. A necessary evil. LOL I'm also craving my Grandma's chocolate chip cookies, so I'm making a batch. Oh yeah. *chomp*chomp*nom*nom*nom* ♥ Whooo hooo!!

Have a wonderful day!

YEP, I DID!

Oh HELLOOOOOOOO! Happy Saturday my friends!

As you can clearly see, ahem...I've decided to switch it up a bit here on mah blog. I've changed my template and a few colors.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm usually a very "matchy-matchy" person. Now, don't get me wrong, I'll "color outside the lines" every once in a while, but in general, "matchy" is what I like. To me its harmonious. :o) Soooooooo, in looking at my Etsy shop and my blog, I decided "what tha heck, I'm gonna change it and see how I like it" aaaaand there you go.

Also with this new layout, my Etsy mini is bigger...Yay!... and I have more room to play with colors. As much as I liked my old layout, it was pretty limited, size wise. Now, I feel there's more room over all to do what I want! YES! lol

Soo, I don't have much planned today.

I'm about to watch this movie. Its my favorite Saturday morning movie and lets just say it: Val Kilmer is HOT in this one ladies... "scha-wing"!!

After that, I'm planning to be at my work table, just to play...I have a few projects in the works, so I may try and finish some of those up. But there's no pressure right now, and thats a really good feeling! LOL!

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day! Here's to NO PRESSURE! Whoot! :o)
Love & Peace is where its at!!

~Happy Friday!~

LOL! Run away!

Happy Friday everyone!
Got any big plans for the weekend? I don't really...but usually thats when my creative juices start flowin. Ya know? -- when theres no pressure! lol

Weeeeelll, I've been tagged. Yup. I'm a little worried..just a little...I don't like to talk about myself and I'm not keen on sharing "secrets" with strangers. STRANGER DANGER lol

However...I was tagged by a wonderful woman and I appreciate her so much, so this is for you dear Sharon of Mana Moon Studios. MWHahah!! Heres the scoop: I'm supposed to share six secrets about myself and then "tag" five others {which unfortunately probably won't happen, seeing as how I don't have five people to tag because they've already been tagged. LOL} Anyway here we go:
Six Secrets About Me

1. I grew up in a conservative Christian home and both of my parents are ministers for The Salvation Army. Most folks think of the thrift stores or the bell ringers at Christmas, but its much more than that. There are Salvation Army churches all over the world and even a college where folks can train to be ministers. It was an interesting lifestyle to say the least, but I don't regret one minute of my childhood, even though I was very sheltered.

2. I almost became a mortician. As my husband can give witness to, I have an unusually strong stomach and a strange and demented fascination with the macabre. There are many choices to make in life and the choice I made led me away from that desire instead of towards it. I have no regrets though...just a tiny twinge of longing to do that sort of work. I believe it takes a certain type of person to be able to handle that kind of thing, and I KNOW I could do it. Dr. G? Ya need any help? LOL

3. I have a true passion for a certain type of music. My favorites include: Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Helen Ward, Bing Crosby, the Andrew Sisters, Jo Stafford, Danny Kaye, Patty Paige, and a young Wayne Newton. Older Wayne Newton is sorta creepy to me LOL, but when he was 16 yrs old DAY-UM, that boy could sing! Of course there are many others. Too many to name. But most of the time, one of their CDs is playing in my car. I rarely listen to the radio anymore. All that being said, its not the only music I listen to. Right now in my car, I have Queen playing. I also love Scottish folk music, bluegrass, jazz and classic rock. There are just too many genres to list. Just know that I adore music and wouldn't be able to survive without it.

4. I don't want children. Don't judge me. LOL My thoughts on this subject are such that I really shouldn't post them here...but I will say that the world is WAY over populated....Children are a HUGE responsibility. Being a mother is a 100% selfless full time job and in my opinion the hardest job in the world. Unfortunately, there are many women out there just poppin 'em out, who quite frankly, have NO business being a mother. But it happens. Don't get me wrong, I love kids. I love my nephews more than I can say. Kids are hilarious!! But, I love my dogs. They don't sass or talk back! LOL If my mind ever changes, I'll adopt. There are many children out there who need a good loving home and I know I could provide that. But as of right now, I'm just enjoying my dogs and my husband and our life together.

5. I met my husband on a blind date. No kidding. I never thought I'd go on a blind date. My parents met on a blind date too, and that story is hilarious, but I never thought it would or could happen to me. I was in a verbally abusive relationship and he had just broken up with someone 3 months prior, so both of us were in a position to say YES. My friend from college set us up...and knew my hubby because her hubby worked with him. It was a spur of the moment decision that changed our lives. On a side note...I knew beforehand what he looked like having seen a picture, but he had NO CLUE what I looked like. It was fun! I was so nervous, I had to have a drink to loosen up! LOL We met in May, got engaged in November and were married a year after that. Been together 8 years now. He's my knight in shining armor! :o)

6. I have the biggest soft spot for animals....of all kinds. To me, they're the epitome of innocence. There is no evil in nature. A tiger isn't evil when he chases down a gazelle. He needs to eat, to feed his family. Its all a part of the circle of life. Every time...every single time I see an animal on the side of the road, theres a little pang in my heart. WE have done this to them through suburban sprawl. Their homes and natural habitats have been destroyed because of us and for this I am genuinely sad for the little possum who couldn't quite make it across the street.

WOW WOW WOW. This took much longer than I had anticipated. And I apologize for the length. But here it is. All in black and white. Now you know more about me. Ruh Roh!
Now I need to think of someone I could tag who hasn't been already. I'll get back to ya on that one. :o)

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Love and Peace,
~Angie~

INSIGHT OF THE DAY

Happy Thursday everyone! Today here in Snellville {where everybody's somebody; it says so on the sign} it is just downright GORGEOUS! A cold front came thru last night. I woke up this morning and it was 52 degrees and its only supposed to get up to 74 today. Ahhhhhhhh, I just LOVE fall. :o) I got a new candle yesterday called Autumn Spice. OMG. It smells amazing; just like autumn should smell. Glorious!!! Alrighty, enough of my ramblings, here we go:

TODAY'S INSIGHT:

"Focus more on your desire than on your doubt, and the dream will take care of itself. You may be surprised at how easily this happens. Your doubts are not as powerful as your desires, unless you make them so."
Marcia Wieder
Speaker and Author

WOW. This really hit home for me. Although I try not to show it, I tend to be very insecure about certain things, so doubt is a constant companion for me. That last sentence really clinched it for me though...heh heh...turns out I've been giving doubt WAY too much power. Dang it.
Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time and great effort to change your way of thinking when its been pounded into your head all your life. Believe me on that point. I'm going to try--for my own sanity to *remember* this insight. Heh...I think I'll watch "The Secret" when I get home. It always makes me feel better. LOL

Have a great day everyone!!!

Love & Peace,
Ang
